Our unconditional love of cats and our unlimited passion help us forget about all of our worries and concerns. How many times do we arrive home after a long day of work or simply feel sad for no specific reason? As soon as we open the door, they are waiting and are always happy to see us. Just by seeing them, our mood is automatically changed and we forget about everything else!

Kikokat Cattery was founded in 2000 with my male KIKO and three females. Since I was a young girl, animals have always brought me an affectionate comfort and I truly believe in zoo therapy. For this reason, my kittens are sold as companions.

My cats are dollfaces, meaning no extreme (acute) noses. Since the hybrid kitten is always chosen before the pure Himalayan, I now play with the genes and only work around hybridisation. A hybrid is the result of the inbreeding (crossbreeding) of Himalayans and Persians. In fact, they are pointed Persians. The fur of a hybrid is much less tangled then the Persians.

Hybrids are wonderful cats and there are more and more hybrid enthusiasts. They are the result of high quality inbreeding and new hues are added to the previous ones, from one specimen to another. It is a real surprise every time! We can find pointed and non-pointed kittens in the same litter. In the case where there is silver, black will dominate and there will be practically only black kittens. However, if both parents are carriers of red, cream or blue, surprise! We may get shell kittens with different hues!

They are all registered under AFC (CCA) as either F1, F2 or F3 (level of hybridisation). If the last level, being F3, is crossed with a pure breed Himalayan, it will once again become a Himalayan, thus the breed is reinforced.
